Knowledge management The importance of access to quality information and knowledge is as important as other key resources, like manpower and finance. Without the right knowledge, development interventions fail or are much less successful. In Ghana the negative impact of the dearth of information and knowledge in the sector is increasingly being acknowledged and knowledge management is given more and more the priority it deserves.
Monitoring and Evaluation Monitoring and Evaluation has become key, as a process for problem-solving through the generation and use of knowledge. Through various activities, like organising trainings and doing research, and by linking up to international organisations like IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre, TREND Group is constantly building up extensive knowledge in monitoring and evaluation in the water and sanitation sector.
Post Construction Support In order for water and sanitation services to be sustainable, communities managing the water and sanitation systems will require some support after the construction phase of the facilities.
WASPA WASPA stands for Wastewater Agriculture and Sanitation for Poverty Alleviation. The global programme with this name aims to improve the management of wastewater and sludge within cities, in order to enhance the safe and sustainable use of wastewater and sludge for agriculture.

Sanitation TREND believes that proper sanitation, in addition to safe water supply, is the key to meeting the MDGs. Access to good human waste facilities and environmental sanitation infrastructure are indispensable for ensuring people's health.
SSHE WASH and the MDGs We believe water, sanitation and hygiene play a key role in meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). This role goes beyond meeting the goals dealing with water and sanitation directly, also influencing goals relating to health, education, empowerment of women and poverty reduction.
