Our Mission

TREND Group is committed to capacity building for the delivery and sustained management of water, environmental sanitation, as well as health and hygiene in Ghana, particularly to the majority of people who live in rural areas and low-income urban areas.

The strategies for achieving our mission are:

• Continuously strengthen internal capacity to make TREND more responsive to Sector needs, enhance operational capacity and further consolidate long term sustainability
• Contribute to capacity building of Government departments, educational and training institutions in the water and sanitation sector through HRD and institutional strengthening and promote and undertake the training of water and sanitation personnel in line with general sector policy
• Promote and undertake networking activities and establish linkages with and amongst sector institutions and personnel.
• Develop and undertake a support service for state of the art information pertaining to all aspects of water and sanitation, including documentation of sector activities and monitoring/evaluation of sector initiatives with a goal of establishing a national structure for documenting and exchanging lessons learnt.
• Promote and undertake applied research in the workplace and tertiary institutions.
• Provide independent advisory services to government, local authorities, the private sector, project implementers and international organisations in water and sanitation issues.
