Training, Research and Networking for Development (TREND) Group is registered as a Ghanaian NGO. By far its the most important field of operation has been the Community Water and Sanitation Sector. To ensure sustainability, it has extended its activities in the areas of agriculture, integrated water resources management, poverty reduction, urban sanitation amongst others.
Overview of TREND By far the most important sector of operation has been the Community Water and Sanitation Sector, which in the Ghanaian context involves rural and small towns. Since 1997, activities have expanded to include services in integrated watershed management, training for poverty reduction, and more involvement in issues concerning urban fringe areas.
Development of low-cost technologies, household sanitation, and documentation and dissemination of sector information have also become a key role for TREND.
